Anaheim Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks, previously known as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, is Anaheim, California's professional ice hockey team that belongs to the Western Division of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim were originally owned by the Walt Disney Company, which the Walt Disney Company used the team name to create the Walt Disney Classic movie as well as mini-series both called, The Mighty Ducks. Just three years after the Anaheim Mighty Ducks made their NHL debut the former Mighty Ducks of Anaheim made their first playoffs in the Western Conference Quarterfinals. The Anaheim Ducks didn't disappear after that either. The Anaheim Ducks returned to the playoffs and made their mark in the 2003 playoffs by defeating the defending champions, the Detroit Red Wings, the Dallas Stars, and the Minnesota Wild just before falling to the New Jersey Devils just before winning the Stanley Cup. The Anaheim Ducks reappeared for the playoffs and are looking to do the same for this upcoming NHL season. Watch as the Anaheim Ducks take to the rink. Anaheim Ducks News
Patrick Marleau #12 of the San Jose Sharks chases down the puck during an NHL Preseason game against the Vancouver Canucks on September 18, 2009 at HP Pavilion at San Jose in San Jose, California.
After three straight come-from-behind victories, the Sharks finally ran out of magic on Saturday.
Ryan Whitney of the United States is seen during the ice hockey men's semifinal game between the United States and Finland at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
To put it mildly, the San Jose Sharks seem to have taken their first-round ouster to the eighth-seeded Anaheim Ducks last spring personally.
